Spotlight on Ethan

I’ve been really encouraged to see Ethan growing and developing as a wonderful little person.  Somehow, now that he’s almost six, he seems to be maturing before my eyes.  I admire his spunk (see photo below of him literally climbing the walls in our hallway), I appreciate his sense of humor, and I really like how affectionate he is with everyone in the family.

Ethan frequently climbs the walls like this. This was the highest he's ever gotten.

Ethan is working hard at learning to read. He recently sat down with Katie at breakfast to try to help her learn to read too.

Since Ausitn moved up to a bigger bicycle, Austin's old bike (dubbed "Top Speed") became Ethan's. Here he is posing proudly after graduating from training wheels.

  1. Hi renee! My boys like to climb the walls like that too…especially Wesley…kinda drives me crazy, but I’m glad we’re not the only family with “monkeys”! Boys sure love to climb–anything–huh??!

  2. I think I see the Calvin in your life. 🙂 Now I know God has really given you the desires of you heart. 🙂
    J:)

  3. I can’t believe Ethan climbs the walls! He’s lucky you’re his Mom! I would never let him do that 😉 You know how I am…

    Love, mom/Grandma Judy
