Awhile back I posted about the rhinoceros beetles we were keeping as pets that hadn’t emerged into their adult form yet. A month or so ago, they turned into adults and the boys have really been enjoying watching them and taking care of them. (We even got to see a male and female mating, so we’ll probably be repeating this experience again next year.) The beetles are pretty easy to care for. They eat special sweet jelly that is made for beetles so all we really have to do is make sure that they have food to eat and occasionally change out their dirt. Here are some photos.
